Live webcasting services in San Francisco
ICV was chosen to provide Live Webcasting, video streaming and HD production for the important VMWorld conference in San Francisco August 31st through September 2nd. This is a global conference about virtualization and cloud computing technologies, hosted by VMware. It’s the largest virtualization-specific event in the world.
Broadcasting this important event required us to plan the video production equipment and the process with the and show agenda months in advance.
We had our grip truck loaded and onsite at Moscone Center 5:00am a day in advance. Working to setup 8 stations for HD video interviews and capture for live webcasting we took all the limited time we were allowed by Moscone.. We setup our live webcasting stations with our Panasonic HPX500 cameras. Lighting, audio, sets, camera sliders and dollies all had to be set connected to our custom NewTek Tricaster video flypacks we build. The multiple Panasonic HD HS50 switchers taking the HD-SDI feeds and switching lower thirds and graphics into the Tricasters. Those Tricaster feeds were distributed to the Encoders and were recorded as Program feeds and sent out as the broadcast of the live video streaming webcast. We also had iso records, graphics and lower third records and backup records to KiStors.
The 4 Day event featured numerous rooms, breakouts sessions and keynote addresses. We Streamed and recorded to Ki-Pro Digital recorders all of the content creating on-demand pieces for playback in the video portal archive of the webcasts.
